Outreach Coordinator Job Description for Ebenezer CRC Trenton, Ontario. (Draft May 5th, 2026.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Explore, guide and support new opportunities for mission ministry growth at Ebenezer CRC Trenton in coordination with pastor, connections committee and deacons
· Be responsible to council
· Be accountable to pastor, personnel committee, connections committee and deacons (events team if applicable)
· Attend monthly connections committee meetings as an ex officio member
· Attend monthly council meetings if need be or requested by council
· Meet with pastor on a weekly basis for plan/overview/review of outreach work
· Continue to guide and support existing outreach ministry efforts already in motion in collaboration with pastor, connections committee and deacons (meal box program, guest services ministry)
· Be a correspondent for ECRC Trenton, Ontario to other inquiring outreach ministry agencies (bible camps, summer camps, drives, foodbank service, etc.)
· Partake in yearly review of performance regarding job description
· Engage with members of the community to promote event awareness and conversation
· Create a budget outline for outreach efforts
· Valid police check required by ECRC Trenton, Ontario to be employed
Relationships and Reporting:
· Correspond with council and provide report(s) upon request
· Work with and report to pastor, connections committee and deacons in outreach efforts
· Engage with members of community
· Work with volunteers from Ebenezer congregation and volunteers of other agencies in collaboration of outreach efforts
· Coordinate communication efforts with office administrator to appropriate bodies
· Connect/report with personnel committee as needed or requested
· Engage in feedback regarding outreach ministry efforts via congregants directly
Qualifications:
· Committed to Christ through an evident personal relationship to Him
· Passionate about ministering to the hearts of members in the community to show them Christ’s love and Ebenezers’ commitment to Him in that same love
· An ability to exercise encouragement others to lead and lead others to assist in intentional missional work
· Committed to spiritual development in all activities with congregants and community members
Compensation:
· A 10 hour per week time commitment compensated at $300 per week including employer costs such as CPP, UI, WSIB and vacation pay
Contract Length:
· A 1-year termed contract commencing upon hiring agreement with the length of contract to be changed any given time only on agreement between both parties
· Subject to a 6-month review upon initial 6 months of employment
