How to Give
How to Give
Thank you for giving to our mission
Without contributions from our members, regular attendees and guests, the work of Ebenezer Church could not continue.
There are three ways to give to Ebenezer in order to receive a tax deductible receipt
1 - Offering Envelopes & Cheques
1. If you are a guest and would like to donate by cheque, you can receive a tax receipt by providing us with your mailing address along with your cheque. Make the cheque payable to "Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church."
2. If you would like offering envelopes for the year, please talk to the Office Administrator. Using the envelopes makes it easier to donate and also easier to receive a tax receipt on the end of the year. Our church envelopes come in two halves; one half is for our general church budget, the other half is for the second collection which supports various ministries that Ebenezer partners with.
3. If you give a cheque that is not in an envelope, mark your personal church envelope number on the cheque and specify the cause you would like it to go to (For example: “#567 for deacons’ causes”). Make the cheque payable to “Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church” and mark the cause for which it is intended on the bottom.
2 - E-Transfers to ecrctrenton@outlook.com
1. When sending an e-Transfer, please remember to note your first name and last name. The email address to use for donations to the budget is ecrctrenton@outlook.com and the question is: What are you giving for? The answer is: budget
2. You can bundle all donations for causes and the church budget together in one e-Transfer and specify amounts in your comments. There is no need to send separate e-Transfers, unless it is easier for the sender. Example: for an e-Transfer $200; Under Comments section-t: $100 budget; $25 QCHS, $50 Meal Box; $25 Food Bank.
3. Ensure you list your mailing address in the Notes section of the e-Transfer, in order to make sure you will receive your tax receipt in a timely manner.
3 - Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR)
Contributions to the church budget can be made through the PAR system (Pre-Authorized Remittance). PAR is an automatic withdrawal from your bank account on the 20th of each month.
Contact the Office Administrator if you are interested in setting up PAR.
As Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church grows, we want to be good stewards of what we give.
We strive to give honour to God in our use of financial resources.
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:18-19: "Tell people to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give happily to those in need, always being ready to share whatever God has given them. By doing this they'll be storing up real treasure for themselves in heaven. It is the only safe investment for eternity and they will be living a fruitful Christian life down here as well." (TLB)
