2025 Financial Report and Bridge Financing Update, January 2026: At the end of year 2025 our congregation did not make our budget of $464,149.92 but came close at $448,333.27.
The good thing is that we paid all our bills and enter the year 2026 with over $40,000.00 in the bank which will help us to get through the first few months of the year when donations are usually down.
The C of A are so thankful of God’s providence over our church and how that was reflected in your giving!
We strive to put together a yearly budget that is accurate but many factors change the outcome at the end of the year, such as committees not spending as much as they could have and costs for heat, hydro etc. vary from year to year.
Many members of committees donate by using their own money to buy supplies and equipment which again keeps costs down.
We also now have pledges of the required funds for bridge financing to do the RTU install this year. (2026)
We would like to thank those that helped out to make this possible.

CNOY: The Care & Share Food Bank wanted to let everyone know that their largest fundraiser of the year is coming up on Sat, Feb 28th, 2026. For the Coldest Night of the Year event, individuals and teams can go online and register to walk (2 km or 5 km) and raise funds that will go toward helping the food bank. The goal this year is a lofty $70,000 and right now they are only at about 3% of that goal. Link to Register
Wintering: Join us for a time of discussion on Katherine May's Wintering on Sunday at 6 p.m., as we reflect together on the causes, effects, and importance of stillness in our lives. Limited copies are available to borrow from the church; the ebook, audio book, and hard copies are also available at the Quinte West library. If you would like to participate but have trouble locating one, or have any other questions, please connect with Adam.
The Banner Magazine: If you enjoy and look forward to a physical copy of The Banner magazine, Council is asking that you please sign the list or notify the office that you would like to continue receive it. The list will be available at a side of the table, main (west side) entrance for about a month. Then Council will collect the names and have the issues when available set into corresponding mailboxes. Please also share with anyone that there will be limited amounts of extras available for guests or a member to take home but are seeking to not have these publishings discarded as much as possible. Location of extra copies will be in the front foyer. Thank you for your consideration and help with this matter. Feel free to contact a council member for any further questions. You can also use this link - sign up form - to sign up to receive a copy of The Banner each month.
Inter-Classis Safe Church Conference: The Annual Inter-Classis Safe Church Conference is scheduled for March 7 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Waterloo CRC. Contact Carel (Classis Huron Safe Church Coordinator) at carelgeleynse20@gmail.com
January 25 Offering: Crossroads Prison Ministries Canada is a discipleship and advocacy ministry for prisoners and their families. They equip the Canadian church to disciple men and women in prison with the Word of God, free of charge. The in-depth, long-term program helps prisoners grow dramatically in a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ and prepares them for and assists them with successful re-entry upon release. They also advocate for change that will make society more welcoming toward citizens returning to the community from prison. Consider how your gifts can be agents for hope and change. cpministries.org
February 1 Offering: The second offering supports Deacons Causes, and their benevolence, helping those in need within church family, as well as reaching out in love to those in our community where there is great need due to high cost of living, and lack of affordable housing.
