One Sunday in April is set aside for when congregations can observe Abuse Awareness/Safe Church Sunday. On this Abuse Awareness/Safe Church Sunday, let us renew our commitment to truth so that the vulnerable are protected, and healing and hope are possible.

Small Group Survey: Do you want to deepen connection with fellow believers in our Ebenezer Church Family and join a small group? An online survey was emailed on April 13. (If you require a paper survey, they are outside the church office. Please return filled-out paper surveys to the office.)

Vocalists, Musicians, People Who Just Like Music: A reminder that the sanctuary is an open space on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7 p.m.  Please join us as you are able! We spend the hour singing together and learning new music for upcoming Sundays at Ebenezer. This is a zero pressure environment and a worship space open to all. Additionally, if you are interested in participating in Sunday morning worship whether with your voice or another instrument, please be in touch! Miranda (905-379-2990).

From the Committee of Administration: Please be advised that the projected budget for April 30, 2026, is $164,724.66. Received budget funds to April 16, 2026, are $111,115.30. Please keep this matter in your prayers and donate as you are able.

Singers Needed: On Wed April 29 at 1030 a.m., we are asking a few singers to come to Crown Ridge Retirement Home and assist with Hymn Sing. All are welcome!

Education Committee: Does helping people learn about the Bible and church education interest you? If you want to know more about this committee talk to Judy or Jessi.

Sunday School is looking for a grade 1 & 2 teacher. The commitment is one Sunday every four weeks, to start at the end of March. Consider if God is calling you to this important work of connecting with the younger members of our congregation. Talk to Kurt or Judy.

Trenton Christian School invites you to attend Grandparents & Grand Friends Day on Friday, April 24, 9 a.m., a truly special and cherished event for our students and school community. Bible Study: We've been asked by the Activities Coordinator at Trent Valley Lodge whether Ebenezer members would consider providing a brief 30 minute Bible study on the second Friday of the month at 10:30 a.m. for interested residents at Trent Valley Lodge. This opportunity aligns well with the Connections committee's mission to reach out to those in our surrounding neighborhoods to share the gospel of Christ's love. We're seeking volunteers from our Ebenezer family who are willing to nurture the faith of our Trent Valley Lodge neighbours through this endeavor. Food Bank: The Coordinator has let us know there is a need for: crackers, pasta, granola, bars, canned fruit, jam, school snacks, dry soups and noodles (Mr. Noodles/Ramen), and gluten free items. Thank you for the continued support of the Food Bank and helping folks facing food insecurity.

April 26 Offering: GEMS (for girls) and Cadets (for boys) are clubs that provide a safe Christ-centered spaces where mentoring, discipleship and faith formation flourish. These ministries combine bible study with hands-on projects, service and leadership opportunities, helping faith take root in everyday life.

Highlights of the April 2, 2026, Council Meeting 

·Discussion re office bearer nominations took place

·Council approved August 23-30, 2026, for Pastor Adam’s holidays.

·Athletes in Action camp will take place July 13-20, 2026, if a leader or leaders certified in First Aid from Ebenezer are able to help run the camp.

· On April 16, 2026, Deacons, Elders and Care Callers meeting will take place at 715 p.m.

·Safe Church Sunday will take place on April 19, 2026.

·Worship Committee has let us know that the Outdoor Service is scheduled for mid-June 2026.

·An online photo directory with password protection is to be created. Volunteers will be needed to take photos of members.

·Council agrees to hold its next meeting on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 7 p.m.
