From the Committee of Administration: Please be advised that the projected budget for August 31, 2026, is $329,449.32. Received budget funds to August 13, 2026, are $262,251.74. Please keep this matter in your prayers and donate as you are able.

Food Bank: The Coordinator has let us know there is a need for: soup (not tomato), pasta/pasta sauce, peanut free snacks for children, hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo), peanut butter. Thank you for the continued support of the Food Bank and helping folks facing food insecurity. 

Attention all saints - and people who really love the smell of brand-new crayons!, Some families at Trent River School (Kindergarten to grade 6) are feeling a major financial pinch trying to get their kids ready. Connections Committee wants to step up and build ultimate school survival kits - specifically, backpacks, lunch pails and fully stocked pencil cases. We need everything from crayons for the tiny humans to coloured pencils for the older kids who have moved on to more sophisticated doodling. Look for the donation bin in the foyer. Let’s bless these kids (and give their parents one less thing to stress about)!

Help Families Affected by the Venezuela Earthquakes: Two powerful earthquakes devastated communities in Venezuela on June 24. World Renew is working with local organizations to respond, meeting urgent needs for families who have lost their homes or can’t access clean water and sanitation. Grace Inn Shelter: The coordinator has let us know there is a need for Men's shorts sizes S-XL, Ladies shorts sizes S-XL, Men's and Ladies sweaters sizes S-XL, Individually wrapped snacks, Juice mix crystals, Cannisters of ground coffee, Individually packaged ear plugs, Men's and Ladies ankle socks, Travel size sunscreen, Travel size deodorant, Travel size toothpaste, Single use rain ponchos, Ladies underwear sizes S-XL, Men's underwear sizes S-XL, Hair elastics, Brushes and combs. Timothy Leadership Training Coming to Bowmanville: This practical leadership development course is designed to equip current and emerging leaders for effective ministry. The first manual is Caring for God’s People. The first of three sessions begins on Sat, Sept 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch provided. We will meet at Rehoboth Church, 130 Scugog St., Bowmanville. There is no cost to participate, although donations toward the cost of meals are appreciated. August 16 Offering: Our second collection is for Momentum Ministries based in Kingston, Ontario. Momentum Campus Ministries strives to equip university and college campus leaders around Ontario with the tools, programs, knowledge, and skills they need to use their gifts and impact others, with a focus on leadership development, faith discovery, mentorship, and discipling young people in their walk with Jesus.

August 23 Offering: Mission Montreal is our second collection for this day. A  collaborative effort of Resonate Global Mission, Diaconal Ministries Canada, First CRC Montreal, Classis Eastern Canada, and a partner ministry called Christian Direction.  At its heart, Mission Montreal is about equipping and mobilizing Christians and Christian leaders to engage their culture, focusing on church outreach, young adult faith formation, and ministry to the growing immigration population in Montreal.
