OUR CHURCH FAMILY PRAYER CORNER
Congratulations to Jacqueline V (3), Mark N (4), Isabella N (5), Philip J (8), and Yvonne W (8) celebrating birthdays!
We pray for those who deal with illness, and for those who continue to grieve the loss of loved ones at this time. We give thanks to our God for his hand of comfort and healing.
We also ask you to remember those who cannot attend services and to keep them in prayer: Jo B, Maureen B, Aky D, Charles & Stella D, John D, Audrey K, Frances L, Jan M, Thea P, Gerdie P, Louise S, Joanne T, Nell V, & Riet V.
“The Boys are back in Church!” We are glad to announce that our Cadet program is back again this year with our first night beginning on Tues, Oct, 13th @ 7 p.m. here at the church building. Grades 3-7, neighbours, friends, and family are all welcome to come and have a great time doing badge work, learning together from the Bible and of course many activity nights also. This year’s theme is “Mountain of Blessings (Psalm 125:2)” and we are thankful and blessed by councillors past and present and support of the congregation. See everyone Oct. 13th @ 7 p.m.!
Reminder to all Church Keyholders: When you leave, please pull the main door shut and ensure it latches.
Pregnancy and Family Care of Quinte West Gala Fundraiser: Will take place on Oct 24 and they are looking for table sponsors to fill tables of 8 people. If you would be willing to fill a table, contact the Pregnancy and Family Care of Quinte West. If there are individuals who want to join the Gala, but can’t fill a whole table, contact the Pregnancy and Family Care of Quinte West as well!
Reminder to the Members of District E who have the Elder Judy V: there will be a luncheon after post service coffee on October 4.
From the Committee of Administration: Please be advised that the projected budget for September 30, 2026, is $370,630.49. Received budget funds to September 24, 2026, are $304,984.74. Please keep this matter in your prayers and donate as you are able.
Food Bank: The Coordinator has let us know there is a need for: stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, peanut butter, pet food (cat especially), pasta sauces, soup (not tomato), canned vegetables, canned fruit, peanut free snacks for children, hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo). Thank you for the continued support of the Food Bank and helping folks facing food insecurity.
Friendship Help: We are looking for a few volunteers to help with Friendship coffee (only 2 or 3 times a season) and we always welcome new volunteers to Friendship.
October 4 Offering: Our second offering for this day is for Trenton Care and Share Foodbank, whose mission is to serve the people of Quinte West by providing food to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity, and this number continues to rise daily as costs continues to stay beyond the reach of those less fortunate. trentonfoodbank.ca
October 11 Offering: The 2nd offering today is for Ministry to the Seafarers parcels. Every year at this time we collect monies for Christmas parcels / gift bags that are given to the Seafarers that visit the Ministry to the Seafarers centre in Montreal in December. The life of a Seafarer is very lonely, often spending months at a time away from family and loved ones, including over Christmas. These parcels show Christ's love, and let them know they are seen, loved, and valued by us. For more info, or if you wish to pack your own parcel, see ministrytoseafarers.org/parcels
